Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Earth dragon Davillion was held responsible for purple Sarnut's death. Blood is the daughter of Davillion and Sarnut the Second, and the seventeenth of the Tolander clan. Because of her strange heritage, she is shunned by the other dragons. However, she does her best to fit in with the other outcasts: her father and philosophic Koontz, and the company she keeps has resulted in a wise-but-youthful dragon.
