Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Summer Alnilam, or just Alnilam, is like a brother to Summer Sprall. They were both found by the cave, and hatched on the same day. He protects her as a Sunstone would his pride. If she were to be injured, physically or mentally, he'd be there to comfort her, and maybe even get revenge on the one who harmed her. Alnilam's life isn't all about protecting Summer Sprall, though. He sometimes enjoys the season of summer with Midsummer's Delight, and likes to sunbathe on the rocks near SL's cave with other dragons. Hunting is one of Alnilam's favorite things to do, especially if it feeds hungry dragons. He likes to help. He was named Alnilam because the middle star of Orion's belt shone down on his egg just before he hatched. It was almost like a prophecy, but no dragon thinks much of it.
