Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Silver Thundersky is an adventurous dragon with a taste for thrill. He loves the adrenaline that comes when diving into a forest fire, or when he creates arcs of electricity in the cave. Many of the hatchlings look up to him, wishing that they could be just like him- 'cool', without restrictions or bedtimes, and masters of electricity. The only one to match his wild and unique streak is his son, Midnight Thundersky. The tiny Thunder dragon has an ego as big as the sky itself, and he wastes no time showing any dragon his skills involving lightning. Silver taught the child everything he knows, of course. The two are constantly darting through storm clouds, stirring up trouble for any locals that may have wandered into their grasp. Silver's spunky mate, Exafeld, often joins in on the two's adventures. She has adopted Midnight, and treats him as if he were her own, even though he's not. This pleases Silver to an extent, but he knows Midnight's true mother will never reveal herself again.
