Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gren Bluie, codenamed GRen, is the first of levins dragons and is by far the wisest and strongest dragon in his wyrd. Growing up alone in the cave, he was forced to learn to fend for himself at tender years and soon learned to use his speed of flight to gain himself the upper hand during a battle with stronger dragons. Though outwardly cold, Gren is a caring dragon at heart. He spends most of his time patrolling the skies to ward off enemies and predators, hence ensuring a safer environment for his younger siblings to grow up in. Even when he landed to rest, he maintained a constant vigilance which made him seem intimidating to his younger siblings. Gren is the leader of the wyrd and is the one who taught his siblings aerial combat.
