Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Verteer is a mighty black dragon and a ranked warrior of this cave. He is the first male born into the clan and is the most likely candidate as leader. The dragon's white teeth gleam and his large eyes reveal hints of his power. Black armor of scales adorn his body, but of the dragons here he holds the source of magic. But he uses such powers only for intense battle. His eyes blaze as the magic yields to his wishes. However, the most powerful spells are capable of leaving him weak and vulnerable. So he opts to fight mostly with claws and fangs unless the battle calls for such force. He holds you in his gaze for a moment, then closes his eyes continuing to rest seemingly unconcerned.
