Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Wideleaf leads his Clan of Terrae dragons, living in the deep forest that stretches from Scatterfell Peak to the southeastern marshes. They roam and protect their home from danger, escorting those who have treaties with the Weyr of Flame to which the Clan owes tithe and allegiance. This has been the arrangement for centuries, though Wideleaf can remember a time before, when dragons could travel the land as they willed, territory and bounties shared and distributed fairly through a wise, kind council. All dragons were friends, back then.

There used to be small dragons, tiny even by non-Terrae standards, who lived with the others, protected and valued as members of the Old Featherwing Weyr. So when he notices, in his Clan's peaceful roving, some small movement beneath the brush; some shadow that darts in a way it shouldn't; some sign of secret travelers who live in the undergrowth below...

Wideleaf stretches his wings wide, hides them, keeps quiet. All are friends, still, in his forest.
