Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When she was very young Chronodia swallowed a fallen star, which had shrunk and crystallized when it had come into contact with wild magic. Having absorbed the stored magic Chronodia gained access to some very powerful spells not normally available to most dragons, but unfortunately her mind was slightly warped as the result of her new talents.

It was decided by the clan leader's to hide Chronodia away from humans and strange dragons, as her destructive powers made her a threat to others and herself, and was placed under the protection of her older brother Vercingetorix at his tower.

She cares for her brother deeply, but hates it when her older sister, Stealer of Souls, comes to visit and competes with her for their brother's attention.  

The only other one whom Chronodia has any affection for is Sebastian, her secret lover and mate. The two of them meet whenever they can, usually when Vercingetorix is attending to other business and can not watch over his sister.
