White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He was always a very energetic child, and so when he slipped out of the nest one morning in search of a playmate, his parents thought little of it. Slinking through one bush after another, he found his quarry--another white dragon, of just his age! He pounced; she squeaked; an attempt to get the very shy female to play followed. But this moment of innocence was swiftly interrupted.

An avatar of chaos had decided to sow chaos that day, and the magical rent that he tore through their mountain home swept both young dragons into a far off land, a barren waste where night reigned supreme and the screams of dark things came from all about them. The other dragon was terrified, but the energetic child was also brave, and he comforted her with the promise that he would protect her, no matter what.

He kept that promise.

It was a year--a year of unimaginable horrors, of narrow escapes, of lasting scars--before they found their way home, but the love they found along the way was worth the price.
