Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hardcore Zinogre inhabits a harsh, rocky coastline near the cold tundra within the northernmost reaches of Valkemare. The hurricane-like gales that whip up lightning storms above the tundra are harvested for their energy by him. His dense fur protects him from the freezing temperatures as he flies through the maelstroms. Hardcore Zinogre is unusually aggressive for an Aegis dragon as he is fiercely defensive when his territory and well-being are threatened. He actively patrols the tundra during daylight hours and hibernates during the long dark of winter. Hardcore Zinogre lives a symbiotic life style with insects that generate their own electricity. He provides protection to the small insects while they provide him with electricity to use for lightning magic. Using this as a means to defend himself and his territory, Hardcore Zinogre will often chase off unwelcome intruders during blizzards. Although it would be an extremely rare occurrence, his fur coat would sometimes shine gold.
