Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lashingcliff is a male Whiptail dragon. He has an odd habit of forming his long, elegant tail into strange shapes. In fact, Lashingcliff has such a high level of command over his tail that he is able to throw and catch burning torches using his tail alone without hurting himself. He is confident that no other dragon is nearly as clever with their tail as he is. Lashingtail first began to perform his tricks to impress a mate, and his practice was rewarded when he attracted Bloodstained Snowdrop .

  Lashingcliff lives in a medium-sized cave in "The Asti Desert" with his mate. For Snowdrop's sake, he has cultivated a small ring of trees around an oasis. Both Lashingcliff and Snowdrop rely on this oasis for water. When he isn't hunting or performing tricks, Lashingcliff can often be found running around the desert at high speeds.

  Slightly arrogant, but friendly and generous, Lashingcliff is a nice, if somewhat unusual dragon.
