Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. It was clear early on just who in the family Divine Blade was closest to. Even as a newborn hatchling, he was drawn to Divine Shield. While the other hatchlings played, he would sit at the feet of the large guardian and watch over the eggs with him. Though born of different parents, these two are very much like brothers. They are often seen sitting side-by-side, Divine Shield hovering over the eggs and Divine Blade scanning the forest for danger. There are those within the family that whisper of an ancient, powerful and near-mythical bloodline that flows in the veins of these two very different dragons, one that calls to other members and brings them together as family. Others scoff and say this legendary bloodline is only that, a legend.... or is it.
