Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Daestyrn comes from a special bloodline, and he knows it. Proud to be born a Magi, he takes every chance he gets to rub it into the peasants' faces. Distant, proud, cold, aloof, Daestyrn only takes interest in magic-users and fierce beauties (he has a bit of a crush on Grengoriar). When he finds a promising magic apprentice...well, no one is quite sure what will happen. He hasn't found one worthy enough yet.

However, as prideful as he is, Daestyrn does have a liking for the other dragons in his group. In his deepest heart of hearts, he loves them, peasants though they are. And besides...the dragons all know the truth. He's simply full of hot air—a pompous dragon who dresses in lace but is wearing rags. And they love him and his ludicrous airs anyway.
