Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

DarkSilentOcean is a cute Deep Ocean Dragon. She is very young and thus very little. this endears her to her owner a little more. Her owner calls DarkSilentOcean her "cute little eel" when she's being obnoxious. DarkSilentOcean has an odd sense of humor and can act inappropriate in serious situations. But that doesn't make anyone love her any less—they like her just the same.
