Bright-Breasted Wyverns are a breed of dragon easily recognized by their bright red markings. They are a small breed, only the size of a full-grown man. However, they have developed poisonous barbs on their feet to make up for their size. Their coloration is used to warn off potential predators of the danger, and is also used to attract mates. They are very social, and can often be seen preening in large groups.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Redthroat is the Alpha of the Feline clan. She's young, bold, aggressive, cunning, but fair and just. Her mate is Flyingbird, a Flamingo wyvern, who assists and supports her rule amongst the rebels of the clan. When not keeping the clan in order and organizing patrols or feeding expeditions, she can be found in the nursery where she watches keenly over all young dragons and unhatched eggs.

The speckles on her wings are much more pronounced than most female Bright-Breasted wyverns in her cave and she is a rather large specimen for a BBW female as well. When threatened, she viciously attacks her opponent with not only the barbs on her talons, but batters them with her wings. She is keen on keeping her teeth sharp and can often be found with a small stone in her mouth, being moved around by her tongue against each tooth to sharpen them into deadly weapons.
