Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Blitzten is known (sometimes-not-so) affectionately as 'that little scamp'. It's fitting; she's forever darting about and getting under your feet like an affectionate puppy. When you actually want her to do something, like put up the decorations, for instance, she's nowhere to be found. She gets annoyed by the older Christmas dragons she shares a cave with, preferring to spend time with Vanxen, though she plays a bit rough-and-tumble for his likes.
