Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

All Luminas are vain, but this male is particularly forthright about it. Not content to simply sit still and admire how darn handsome he looks, he feels obligated to share the news of his beauty with the world, often perching on high rocks and screaming out ballads composed in honor of himself for hours on end. Needless to say he's not particularly popular with his kinsmen, the other Luminas often tackling him off his perch whenever his caterwauling gets too ear-grinding.
