Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Adurnha Risa is a Daydream Dragon. She absolutely loves to watch the young hatchlings in the cave grow up and is the one to go to in the cave if a baby is having nightmares. She is the second strongest in the cave when speaking about magic, but is especially strong for one of her breed as she was trained by the extremely powerful Magi Dragon, Kryastilla. Adurnha Risa was named after the ancient language in Eragon from which adurna rsa means rise stone. Since stone is considered a magical thing in the world of Dragons, this females name represents the meaning strong (or rise) magic user (or stone). She will never use her magic against another dragon, even if that dragon is threatening Adurnha Risa because she thinks it is not dragon-like,  and in this way is different from the more feared Magi Dragons. Still Adurnha Risa and other Daydream dragons are to be feared because they may still perform magic unknowingly, sometimes known to have led travelers to wander the forest forever.
