Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

His name meaning 'Joy' to the Desert Tribe, little Furaha is just as his namesake describes, a bringer of joy and good cheer. Furaha can always be seen in the company of Zoea, the Gold hatchling, and Sherehe who is of the same species. All three hatched together and thus are the closet friends, enough that they view each other as broodmates. Furaha likes to collect shiny objects and will take anything he finds interesting, from a piece of ribbon to a shiny pebble and will bury it in his secret stash where none will take it from him.
