Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Hummingbird in the Sun is the jewel of the clan. Graced with exceptional beauty he had a tendency to be a little shallow at points but shares a deep love with his quiet counterpart Butterfly in the Dark. She brings out the deeper side of him while he is the only one who succeeds in luring her out into society. They are admired all around as loving and beautiful by the rest of the dragons in their cave. They're unlikely pairing can be difficult at times but at their best they are a physical embodiment of the perfect match.
