Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Unlike the other hatchlings, this one hatched with wings.

And look! Its back legs have become a second set of wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Sw00pwing is quite pretty for her kind. She is still young and being frozen did not remove the look of a pretty young dragon. Male hatchlings sometimes wish she wasn't frozen and female hatchlings don't really like her sky blue wings and leg-less body and some wish their wings were that color. Despite all that jealousy, Sw00pwing does not believe she is pretty. She usually hangs out with the White dragons and insists on helping them with their herbs. Her favorite thing to do is make pouches from fine bark or big leaves that the White dragons like to use for their herbs.
