Galvanic Wyverns possess a strength that seems impossibly vast for their size. They achieve this through their unique ability to extract magic in its purest form directly from mana. They then channel this energy throughout their bodies via the metallic conduits along their spines, wings, and tail tips, giving them their magically-augmented physical prowess, as well as the magical dexterity to lay devastating spells. However, once they have depleted a mana crystal, they are left vulnerable until they are able to harvest another.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Arasu has a rather stubborn streak of pride in his character, and as a result he believes it is an embarrassment to himself and all of his kind if he carries around a mana crystal that he didn't have to work hard to obtain. This has led him to seek out all sorts of dangerous situations when he needs to find new sources of mana to power his magical abilities, whether it's gouging out the side of an obsidian-lined volcano or disrupting a den of larger dragons who happen to be sleeping above a particularly choice crystal buried in the caveside rock. Arasu's elder siblings find his antics to be a waste of time and energy, but the hatchlings in the family do like to listen to his stories of the more crazy crystal scavenging expeditions he's gone on.
