Cavern Lurker Dragons are nocturnal ambush predators. Although small, they are very aggressive and will attack anything weak enough to be overpowered. Their preferred method of hunting is to lie in wait in a cave, burrow, or other small, enclosed space; when any potential prey passes they will lunge out to grab hold of the unsuspecting victim and drag it back into the lair. Cavern Lurkers have an odd aversion to sunlight and almost never venture out during the day. More commonly sighted are the odd piles of bones they stack near the entrance to their dens. Their mating call is a low-pitched bumping noise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Just Static is shockingly neat for a Cavern Lurker, always carefully removing the bones from the entrance to his den. The reason for this is to keep his location hidden; he has spent some time delicately moving into the cellar of a human family and does not wish them to know he is there. However, his move hasn't been as neat as he had hoped, as the children of the family seem to have a knack of spotting him even when he is hidden deep in the dark, cavernous room. Of course, their older relatives don't believe the children, sending them down for errands regularly. Understandably, they are completely terrified of him and will never go near the cellar unless forced to by impatient parents.

His mating call, always at night, has awoken the entire family on more than one occasion. The adults always assume the bumps in the night are nothing more than cats or Pygmies; however, the children know better, and refuse to sleep alone, crying silently together while huddled under their blankets.
