Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Poor Pending, called 'Pen', affectionately by her Dragon friends, Pending was named when her owner was very busy. Her owner Natasha had hired a man who was supposedly professional to keep track of all of her dragons a week, but Natasha was unorganized and unprepared. Once she discovered Pending was a girl, the hired man kept nagging on Natasha to name the little one. He didn't seem to understand why she wouldn't tell him what she planned to name the dragon. Finally, she spun around and said 'I haven't decided, okay there, I admitted it! I haven't decided yet, so this dragon's name is pending!" Therefore, just for fun, the man took her scroll and wrote 'Pending' on it, to see if it would work. Unfortunately for him, it did. Not only was he fired after this, but Natasha's many Vampire Dragons warned him if he ever touched her scroll again, he'd be a snack between them all. And poor Pending has been stuck with her name ever since. However, she has become used to it over time.
