Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

On a crisp December day, a young man stood at the train station holding back his tears as he realized he was too late to stop his love from leaving him. He held in his hand a written letter of goodbye from his young girlfriend, the woman he was planning to marry. It read that she was tired of being held back, and that she needed to get away. She explained that she had purchased a ticket to a town far away and that she simply didn't care anymore. The boy dropped the letter upon the platform, and it flitted away in the wind as he left.

Soon after, a traveling warlock gingerly picked up the note, and with a few quick spells, the note transformed into a small paper dragon. Satisfied, the warlock boarded the next train, leaving the newborn Ticket To Ride floating about the train station, the words of the young woman's goodbye still etched upon its folded wings.
