Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It has the colors of a bright summer day.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Tallback is strangely calm and quiet for a frozen hatchling. She goes to the elders den every day, but not to hear stories but to learn wisdom. She has the goal of becoming the clan leader but knows she never can become a clan leader. The shy frozen hatchling come to her for guidance. The other hatchlings and some of the adults let her become in charge of care of care for eggs, hatchlings, and matured hatchlings.
