Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. RG SunHeart is an extremely good-natured and tough dragon, due to her being left alone to fend for herself even when she was still in her egg. RG SunHeart's egg was laid in the exact moment that the Sun rose, hatched exactly when the Sun rose and she matured at that same moment as well, therefore, giving her her name, RG SunHeart. RG SunHeart's best friend is none other than the Christmas dragon, RG JoyousHeart, who, like RG SunHeart, is also very friendly. Though RG SunHeart is very happy living where she is now, with all her friends and family, she can't help but feel that something is just not right. Maybe it's because of the fact that she is teased often because she is a half-breed and not a pure Sunsong Amphiptere dragon (Her father is a pure Sunsong Amphiptere but her mother is a pure Harvest dragon.) or maybe it is the fact that she has taken her father as her mate despite many protests from the other dragons who live with her.
