This hatchling appears to be... dead?

Perhaps not. It seems to be active during the night.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Eiroser has earned the nickname of 'Fiddle' thanks to his obsessive collecting of musical instruments. He rarely needs to travel far from the Chiyo territory thanks to the nearby human villages. The clan's dragons often travel to the villages for trade. To the dragons, things like paintings, instruments and fine clothing are more valuable then the gold, gems and other such treasures they like to hoard. Eiroser is an especially welcome site for any merchant because he happily pays extravagant prices for well-made instruments.

Recently, Eiroser has taken to playing the flute. Thanks to his obvious musical skill he has been invited more then once to play at taverns, festivals as well as Solar and Itatsu's night shows.
