White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sleek, nosy Schaumfeder is supposed to look after the Sunsong Amphipteres in Laura-Lana's clan. He is an excellent healer, but he tends to make minor mistakes, because he keeps rushing through his healings. Sternenfunke has warned him repeatedly, worried that one of these days his impatience will cause a disaster.

The problem is that Schaumfeder is too arrogant to believe he'd ever make a truly dangerous mistake. He can't spy on the other dragons in the clan if he's busy healing Sunsong Amphipteres who either don't have many secrets or are too adept at hiding them from him.
