Glaucus Drakes have curious personalities. They spend more of their time sunbathing and idly floating in the water than exploring. Because they move very little as they float, Glaucus Drakes can ambush prey relatively easily. They can dive to surprisingly deep depths, and eat a variety of fish and marine plants. Most of them live in tight-knit family groups.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

While most of her kin are content to rely on swift dives or short flights to escape their predators, this drake is less comfortable with the idea. Being chased by angry hungry things is terrifying, not to mention sunbath-interrupting; if there was any way to avoid it, of course she'd take it! And, luckily for her, she found just such a method indeed. Seizing jellyfish, anemones, and sea slugs (her absolute favorites are the cute little blue and white ones that look like her), she rubs their toxic secretions all over her body. Her thick scales protect her from harm, but the lingering poisons left behind more than deter any nasty beast that tries to put its mouth on her! So effective is her method that many others in her pack have begun to employ it, especially her own young, who their mother makes take healthy poison baths daily.
