Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Paarthurnax is very wise and always deep in thought. He tries his hardest to be fair to all the dragons of the cave, regardless of whether they are fair to him. He has great disdain for any dragon that abuses their power and bullies weaker dragons around simply because they can. Parthurnax is usually calm and level headed, but even he has a boiling point; he has been known to kill dragons that harass other dragons, but only because he saw the offender as a real threat to the one being harassed. He does not like to recall these events and wishes very much that he could just forget it ever happened. He always has an air of sadness about him, though he tries to cover it up with his stoicism.
