Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Wyren is a sweet and kind dragon. She is considered to be the matriarch of her Cave, although she doesn't take the title for herself. She always looks after the hatchlings and has made it her job to teach them the ways of the mountain slopes on which they live. She is fiercely protective of the hatchlings under her care and will fight off predators if necessary. Once the hatchlings are grown, they continue to revere and respect Wyren for her gentle ways and her good advice.
