Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Noemi's creation started with his being born. Originally he was to be not a Vampire Dragon, but a Shallow Water Dragon. However, complications happened, his egg had managed to be separated by from its mother. Coincidentally, a dragon happened to find this egg. Amused by his findings, the dragon decided to keep the egg for a bit. After a day or two, the male dragon finally decided to bite the egg, and soon abandoned it with little to no remorse.

Thankfully for Noemi, the bite was successful and had transformed him into what would soon be considered a fearsome dragon.

Not too long afterwards, a human made her way into the cave. The human soon spotted Noemi's egg, and out of sheer bravery—or stupidity—the human grasped the egg in her arms and made it out of the forsaken cave.

Noemi managed to hatch and grow up long after that day, and has even been given a name that suits his 'heritage'. He's become quite a playful dragon—as well as the oldest of the clutch of his adopted family.
