Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mint Eruption remained unmarried for some time, until she began to tutor the next in line of the Mint lineage, Scarlet Mint. She fell in love, but she felt she was being extremely inappropriate, as she was much older. However, Scarlet also had feelings for Eruption, and eventually persuaded her to give the relationship a chance, much to the disdain of the entire family who also found it to be inappropriate. She respects Angelic Mint, as Scarlet's adoptive mother gave Eruption her blessing when everyone else rejected her. Her and Scarlet's son is named after his adoptive grandmother and is their pride and joy. She hates Scarlet's biological mother.
