Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kuma is daughter of Kumo- mate of Wapika- child of Hinote and Lavender. Wapika is sister of Aurora- mate of Yutori- father of Zaloon. Kuma's direct sister is Lina. Tragedy befell her when a terrible storm came and killed her mother Wapika, uncle Yutori and cousin Zaloon. Her father Kumo was able to save her during the storm that no one else survived. Before the storm hit, Kuma's sister Lina decided to leave the clan. Kumo and Wapika refused to let her leave, and she lashed out and hurt Kuma. Lina left quickly, laughing evilly at her triumph. This short battle left Kuma permanently scarred and injured. Kuma's aunt, Aurora, is presumed alive after the storm. Kumo and Kuma keep searching for her, as she is one of the last of the Orei-Aria clan. Though Kuma has hard feelings toward Lina, she knows forgiveness is best and searches for her as well. Kuma can only search for short times, since her injuries make it difficult to fly.
