Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, smaller in females, aiding both in digging up food and protection from attack. Females are noticeably brighter than males due to their habit of not straying far from particularly algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ballerina is as graceful and pristine as she sounds. She is delicate for a Flamingo, being significantly smaller in size than others of her breed, possessing minimal physical strength, and having absolutely no magical aptitude. She relies solely on her Falconiform siblings for protection. Ballerina, for all her weaknesses, has a unique way of manipulating others. She can capture and earn the attention of others, then sweet talk them into doing whatever she needs. She is a phenomenal speaker and knows exactly how to manipulate her emotions and make use of pathos. This is how she keeps her older siblings loyal to her. Even the grumpier ones will do whatever she asks if properly bribed. If ever Ballerina has trouble, she calls on her terrifying siblings to do away with whatever or whoever stands in her way. This further increases her Flamingo brother, Pretty's familial anxiety and makes their relationship very tenuous. Typically, Ballerina just ignores him, but, when they meet, it's bad.
