Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lelouch began to live his life in complete solitude after he was struck down by humans. One day, while flying gracefully through the sky, he swooped low to drink water from a stream. As he flew back up towards the clouds the local dragon slayers fired a large lance at him. It appeared to pierce his heart, but thankfully it only grazed him. He fell into the forest, landing in an old graveyard. The slayers searched high and low, but could not find him. Assuming him dead they left to tell their employer of their deed not knowing Lelouch had survived. Because of that attack, Lelouch has vowed to keep himself hidden from the world and lives in the graveyard he landed in, deep in the forest, hidden from all but a few Grave dragons.
