Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Proteus Floratus is a proud vine dragon. His keeper, TiredOfTrying, brought him to a huge field near the cave in which he hatched once she realized that he was indeed a vine. He leads a relatively stationary life. Only moving when he has used up the nutrients in the soil surrounding him, which happens about every three months. He uses his vines to catch unsuspecting birds and other animals that come near. Drawn towards the beautiful colors of the flowers on his vines. His favorite are the deer that often graze in the open field. On nice days, he enjoys basking in the warmth of the sun. However, when it rains, he burrows further underground to keep the rain off himself. His favorite past time is watching a lovely sunset as evening approaches, bringing many of the flying dragons out to feed. At this time, he becomes slightly envious of those dragons, as he is rooted in one spot and unable to join them. That envy soon passes however, as his fellow dragons often bring him food.
