Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Lucrecia is gentle, kind, and a bubbly ray of sunshine in the caves. She enjoys spending time with the hatchlings and keeping watch over the eggs, preferring to enjoy herself by soaring through the skies rather than staying inside with the older dragons, who regard her as an airhead more often than not. Despite this, she is constantly in a good mood, and always polite to the elder dragons.
