White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As a pristine egg, Rejoice of Shadows was taken in by a wandering stranger who happened upon a cave of dragons. As Shadows was accepted into this stranger's home, it grew to like the unusual shape it could see from inside its shell. When Shadows finally hatched, she was a beautiful white dragon who immediately tackled her new caretaker. She retains her playful personality, although only visits her owner when he whistles a certain tune, or when he is in trouble. Being a white dragon, she is quite adept at healing, which has been quite useful over the years.
