Before being enchanted, Poison Ivy was a break up note from a girl to a boy. The girl knew how to make paper, so she some paper out of some poison ivy. So, when he opened up the letter of 'Dear John', the oils from the poison ivy rubbed off and he got a bad case of the rash. So, one day, the window was open and the note was blown away. Later on, it was found by a Magi dragon who wanted a companion. However, after discovering the itchy rash, the paper dragon egg was put in the cave. And when Star rushed to grab it, she got it, brought it home, and got a nasty rash. Deciding that no she didn't want to have a walking rash-bomb free to roam, she froze Poison Ivy when she hatched. Poison Ivy currently identifies herself as female, though she isn't sure until her wings fold in.
