Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Falgran is a seer, able to read the future in just about anything—clouds, fallen leaves, rivulets of water, or remnants of her last meal, among others.  Her talent can strike anytime without warning, and at worst leaves her completely oblivious to the outside world.  Because of this, she can't live on her own, and so has an assortment of bodyguard dragons who keep her safe and do the hunting.

Falgran comes across as vague and rather scattered, but unless she's in one of her visionary fits, this is mostly just an act—she's really quite clever.  Since her power is unpredictable, most of her prophecies are false—vague predictions based on impressions of her clients (both humans and dragons) and what she thinks they want to hear.  Falgran always tries to provide enough truth and plausibility that she doesn't feel she's cheating her clients, though, since telling fortunes is her living, after all—not a con game.
