Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Icicles keep forming on its body, but it doesn’t seem to be bothered by the cold.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This little dragonette's name comes from the Slovenian word for "icy". She's a rambunctious little thing, and constantly getting into mischief. She loves hiding from her guardians when she's supposed to be doing something she doesn't want to do; she'll often climb on top of the cave, or sneak around behind an ice floe. However, she's not as sneaky as she thinks she is, because she usually leaves a trail of icicles leading right up to her hiding place!
