It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. One of the famous Noble Gases, idols of many dragons all across the Periodic Clan, Argon sure is one of the most popular members, but... nobody is actually sure what she's ever done to earn it. Her name is said to mean 'lazy' in a different language, and if that's true, she definitely lives up to it, always yawning and oh so very tired no matter how little she has to work compared to other elementals. Unlike her talented siblings Neon or Xenon, it seems that all she does is lounging around looking cool and randomly causing scandals from time to time—and yet there are elementals who would do anything in the world just for Argon to acknowledge them. Not that she does; she has allowed her fame to go into her head indeed, acting like a primadonna and a major drama queen, always managing to divert attention to herself, and herself alone. With her tendency to speak over others and never listen to what anyone else has to say unless it's praise to her, she gets overwhelming to be around.
