Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Her name means "Chrysanthemum" in Japanese, which is a lovely flower that can come in many shades of red-yellow. She is a very energetic and peppy dragon, that always manages to infect everyone else with her happiness and zest for life. If there is a gathering, she is the one that brings the "party spirit". She never knew her biological parents, but was raised by a nice couple in the valley. She met her mate, Hiroaki, in a clearing in the forest when she caught him staring at her while she was sun bathing. She instantly engaged him in conversation, and befriended him. She later asked him to go with her to a gathering she was headed to later, and he agreed. After hanging out for a while they decided to be friends, and then he asked her if it was alright for him to court her. She said yes, and when he asked her if she would be his mate, her got an even more energetic, and louder, YES! They've been happily in love ever since.
