Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Amai Wataame. Her name supposedly means sweet cotton candy. Don't let that fool you. She is anything but sweet. She is vain and proud, always preening herself and going to the shores of rivers and lakes to look at her own reflection. Haughty too, she can't stand it when any of the other females mate with any males in the clan. That doesn't mean she isn't picky about mates. She is. She will often turn her nose at a prospective mate just because he isn't quite to her liking, but she still gets mad if he mates with another female. She feels that all males should only ever want her regardless of whether she wants them or not, and they should never want any other only her. Needless to say, although she can mate and occassionally does she isn't well liked in the clan, but she is tolerated, because, when push comes to shove she will fight on behalf of the clan with the other dragons if the need arises.
