Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

There has only been one sighting of Evexbae: as a hatchling. She upholds the Autumn gang's apparent law of secrecy very seriously. Her one and only description paints her as 'cold, strict, and unforgiving, even for one so young'. It is unknown if Evexbae reached adulthood, for after that day all traces of her vanished, like dry leaves in the wind.
