Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Natalya Namid was the first of her kind and one of the only two in the clan. The clan found her on Christmas day along with another egg exactly the same who would later be known as Kachina Namid. As a young hatchling Natalya would love to explore and wherever she went cheerfulness and joy came with her. Some of the other hatchling who grew up with her mocked her for some time because of the way she looked. Now, however, most of the dragons gaze at her with awe for she became just like the beautiful swan, or in this case the beautiful dragon. She however still wonders of her past as no one could ever tell her where she came from or why she was there, but continues to live her days happily with everyone.
