Witchlight Dragons are silent, secretive beasts that haunt the most remote corners of the wilderness. They beguile their unsuspecting prey into peril by assaulting their perceptions of reality and stoking the fires of paranoia with masterfully-conjured illusions. Unwary travelers have been led astray by the soft, inviting glow of their eyes amidst a sea of encroaching darkness, never to be seen again. Those that survive a Witchlight Dragon’s psychic onslaughts do not escape unchanged: some believe that the apparitions these dragons summon to tempt or torment their victims awaken them to hidden truths about themselves.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Like all Witchlights, this dragoness is adept at taunting and tormenting others with her powerful illusions and near-crippling paranoia. However there is a certain "unhinged" quality to Ravenwisp's tactics that spooks even her Halloween brethren. She can be quite capricious with her targets, and rarely bothers to distinguish between friends (the few she has) and foes (there are a lot). She appears to have an intense dislike towards one of her Witchlight "sisters", and often goes out of her way to torment Violetbramble and her mate. What started the feud, no one is sure on, and the three tangled up in this web of dark vengance aren't talking. Usually accompanied by a large flock of crows she keeps as pets and spies, the other dragons have learned to be wary of the birds, and any that seem to take too keen an interest in dragon affairs are attacked mercilessly. This doesn't bother Ravenwisp a bit, as she can always gather more followers wherever death and carnage reign.
