Izumi and her sister Azami were orphans adopted by the sensei of a nearby Ninja Chicken dojo. Though the siblings were very different, they were close nonetheless. Izumi was confident, upbeat, and easily the best student in her ninjutsu class while Azami was meek and clumsy. As they matured, Izumi became very busy with her advanced training and Azami became cold and distant. One night, Azami told Izumi that she was sick of living in her shadow and had joined with a group that would appreciate her hidden talents -- the Space Chickens, sworn enemies of the Ninja Chickens. She asked Izumi to join her but was rejected. Azami abandoned the dojo then and has not been heard from since. Izumi has since increased her training. She has sworn to destroy the Space Chickens and bring her beloved sister back to her senses... or, failing that, end her.
