Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When CandleTail was found abandoned, she was taken straight into the care of the wolf-dragon on account of her position amongst the legendary trio. She grew quickly and was soon a favourite due to her fiery nature and her undeniable pride. Noble, strong and intelligent, she spends many hours explaining her latest theories about life and flying to Gospeltruth, before soaring away from the wolf-dragon's mountain to play with firesprites at the volcano.
